The University of Victoria Vikes Hockey Club is pleased to announce that right winger Eddie May has committed to the Vikes for 2018-19 season.

The 6’ 3 190 LB hard hitting two-way player, has played 99 games of junior hockey including 2 seasons in the AJHL with the Calgary Canucks

and the Camrose Koidiaks, and last season a personal best of 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points with the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL.

May, a native of Calgary Alberta, is grateful and thankful to all the people that have helped him along the way as he now focuses on the road ahead.

“First of all, I would like to thank my family, teammates, coaches, and especially my billet parents for facilitating an unbelievable junior experience for me. I know for a fact that I would not be where I am today without these people in my life. Growing up in Calgary Alberta, I played for the Calgary

Royals Hockey Athletic Association which shaped the player I am today and helped me achieve the necessary athletic development that I needed,”

“Last season I played for the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL, a small town of 5000 people who love hockey. I wouldn’t have wanted to finish my junior career anywhere else.” says May. When asked why he chose to come to UVic to play hockey and go to school, Eddie replied. “Being able to continue to play a game I love while in university is a dream come true. The high level of academics, and the beautiful campus are the main reasons I chose to attend the University of Victoria next year, replied May. “I am very excited about becoming a Vikes next year.”

The Kindersley Klippers wish Eddie all the best in Victoria next season, and thank him for his hard work with the team!
