Drayton Thunderchief traded for Curtis Peck

KLIPPERS TRADE FOR LA RONGE CAPTAIN.
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers announce the acquisition of ’97 born center Curtis Peck from La Ronge in exchange for ’98 born winger Drayton Thunderchief.

Drayton came to Kindersley by way of Stand Off and Lethbridge Alberta where he played a handful of games with the WHL’s Hurricanes. Last season was Drayton’s lone with the Klippers; a campaign in which he produced solid numbers with 13 points in 45 games with 164 PIM’s; indicative of his propensity for physicality. Head Coach/GM Geoff Grimwood sung Drayton’s praises saying that, “Drayton was a great kid for us and will be missed. We wish to thank Drayton and the Thunderchief family for their time with the club.”

Coming to Kindersley from La Ronge is Curtis Peck, who served as the Ice Wolves captain last season while contributing 10 goals and 16 assists. Grimwood adds that Peck “is a top two line center who can improve our forward group on both ends of the ice.” Adding a player with the track record of being a leader in the room and on the ice as signified by the “C” on the sweater is always significant for a team taking serious strides towards improvement. Aside from his 58 games with the Ice Wolves Curtis previously skated in 42 games with the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL.

The Klippers are grateful for the time Drayton spent with us and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. Thank Drayton for his time in Kindersley @Thunderboss20 and welcome Curtis to the family @pecker_10
