Boston Red Sox down 3-0 to the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS.
“Sugar” Ray Robinson with a record of 128-1-2 relinquishing the middleweight crown to heavy underdog Randy Turpin after a 15 round war in 1951.
Philadelphia Flyers down down 3-0 to the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference semi-finals in 2010.

The Ironhorse Kindersley Klippers find themselves in a hole trailing the Estevan Bruins 3-0 in the Best-of-seven SJHL second round series, but don’t count out an upset just yet. After dropping two closely contested games in Estevan over the weekend things got out-of-hand as the boys in green weren’t able to stem the tide that was the Bruins Powerplay on Tuesday night in Kindersley, eventually dropping a 5-0 decision.
The all-important Game 4 will go tonight (Wednesday March, 21st) at 7:30 pm at the West Central Events Center and will feature a Guaranteed take-home $1,000 pot for the 50/50 supported by EDGE REALTY and THE KINDERSLEY INN. Klippers Klapper noise makers will also be available courtesy of OSY RENTALS.
We have been selling Chase the Ace tickets throughout the season with a portion of sales contributing to the progressive pot that has grown to over $2,600 which WILL BE won at tonight’s game. To be clear, normally the holder of the winning ticket will draw a card from the deck and if that card is the Ace of Spades he/she wins the total pot, with the pot being carried forward to subsequent games if the Ace of Spades is not drawn. However, tonight we will make as many draws as necessary until the Ace of Spades is pulled, however many that may be.
Long story short, buy Chase the Ace tickets and pay attention to the PA Announcer throughout the game so if your number is called you can come choose that Ace from the deck!
A couple other things:
1. Sylvan Lake Hockey School raffle tickets will be available for sale in the merch booth.
2. Local Chapter of Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada will have a table set up for their fundraising efforts.
3. Special 25th Season Jerseys will be available for payment/pick-up in the merch booth for the remaining auction winners.
Come and get loud tonight Kindersley, we aren’t ready for this season to end.
The Red Sox won the series 4-3, Randy Turpin beat Sugar, The Flyers rallied and won the series 4-3, and Buster Douglas knocked out Tyson. All faced odds.
