Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

Transactions Update.

MOVES MADE POST-DRAFT.
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers announce a number of transactions today, with four Klippers being moved and the playing rights to two players coming back to the Green and White.

With appreciation for their time and commitment to the town and team we announce that ’99 F Devon Cyr and ’99 F Noah Bankowski will be joining the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL in completion of last season’s Ty Enns acquisition. Both Devon and Noah are exceptional young men and teammates and contributed positively to the community through their service and part time work with local businesses.

In a separate hockey deal ’99 D Connor Karo and ’00 D Matthew Dyck have been traded to the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for the CJHL playing rights to ’99 D-Man Parker Gavlas. Matthew and Connor were both very active in the community, making frequent school visits, volunteering with the Kindersley Special Olympics club, and taking an active role in their billet brothers’ and sisters’ activities. Parker comes to the Klippers as a Saskatoon native having previous stints in the SJHL with the Yorkton Terriers before embarking for Western Hockey League. Parker skated 20 games with the Regina Pats before landing with the Edmonton Oil Kings, playing in 46 regular season games and 16 playoff games during the 2018-19 campaign.

Additionally, the Klippers have traded for 2001 born D-man Mkyllan Couture who skated in 46 games last season for the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for a Player Development Fee. Mkyllan is a native of Pilot Butte, SK and was the Wings’ 1st Round, 10th overall pick in the 2016 SJHL Draft. Mkyllan is also an 8th Round selection in the WHL draft of the Prince Albert Raiders.

We are happy to welcome Mkyllan and Parker and their families to our Klippers family.

Connor, Matthew, Devon, and Noah we thank you for your contribution to the Klippers organization and we wish you all the best moving forward.
