The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with PLYR Athletics. Beginning this fall, PLYR will be recognized as the Official Apparel Partner of the SJHL, with logo and name placement across SJHL digital platforms, game-day materials, and other marketing initiatives approved by the league.
“We believe the co-branded collections will strongly resonate with SJHL fans and players, reinforcing both team and league pride,” said Kyle McIntyre, League Commissioner. “PLYR’s designs reflect the culture and lifestyle of Saskatchewan hockey, providing a high-quality alternative to mass-market providers.”
“It’s an honor for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League to partner with an activewear brand so closely aligned with our Saskatchewan roots,” McIntyre added. “At its core, the SJHL represents Saskatchewan: strong community connections, dedicated volunteers, hardworking prairie players, and fast, skilled, competitive hockey.”
PLYR is a well-established Saskatchewan brand, known for its innovation and comfort. Specializing in athletic wear, PLYR blends sleek design with exceptional performance for golf, hockey, and active lifestyles. Originally founded as a golf-apparel company, PLYR has expanded its focus to broader athletic wear—particularly within hockey—since January 2025.
“This isn’t just another merch drop—it’s a handshake between two Saskatchewan institutions,” said Chase Porter, Owner of PLYR Athletics. “The SJHL has been the proving ground for countless players chasing the next level, and PLYR Athletics was built to outfit those same grinders, leaders, and game-breakers. Both born here, both built here—we’re keeping the Prairies in the Prairies.
It’s about quality that matches the compete level, gear that can handle long road trips, cold barns, and the weight of representing your town’s crest. This is where community meets competition, stitched together with pride and purpose.”
Given their shared Saskatchewan roots, the partnership between the SJHL and PLYR is grounded in provincial pride, community engagement, and authentic representation. Together, the SJHL’s twelve teams and PLYR aim to create apparel collections that celebrate the league’s commitment to its players, communities, and fans.
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League continues to be recognized for exceptional player development and dedication to its people and the communities it serves.
