Lynch leaps to Pro Ranks

The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers Hockey Club are pleased to announce that Trainer/Equipment Manager Darien Lynch has accepted a position with the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets.

Darien has been a most valuable asset to the Klippers organization and will be greatly missed in the room, on the bench, and in the community. Lynchie has a gift to connect to the players he works with on a personal level and develop a relationship of trust and friendship that will serve him extremely well in the professional ranks. Last year’s Captain Cam Shorrock adds; “…Darien took it upon himself to go far beyond his requirements. His love for his job shows in the quality of his work and he takes great pride in being a part of the team culture. Darien was a crucial part of our team from being a knowledgeable trainer to managing all our equipment. He is a true professional but still one of the guys and someone you could talk to about anything.”

This past season Darien was asked to assist as a trainer/equipment manager at the SJHL/MJHL Showcase in Regina as well as to assist with the Winnipeg Jets Development Camp in July where he impressed and was subsequently offered a position. He mentioned, “…I look forward to gaining experience with such a professional franchise, and to learn from the best. I am excited to get going. Kindersley has been an awesome time and with the support we have received from the community it’s tough to leave, especially with a team on the brink of a championship. We have worked hard to develop a professional organization and I think it’s gone a long way for our players and their families along with the town in getting people on board.”

Lynch will me making the move to Winnipeg the end of August in order to be ready to kick things into high gear for camp come September. The Klippers family wishes Darien nothing but the best in his future and look forward to his professional journey.
