The Kindersley Jr. Klippers (22-23-2-2) lost a pair of games over the weekend to the rival Battlefords North Stars (25-20-3-2). At home on Friday the Klippers lost 3-2 in a fight-filled affair from Inter Pipeline Arena and then were unable to avenge that loss on Saturday in a 5-2 loss on the road.
Friday’s game saw the North Stars opening the scoring early, before Jaxon Herchak and Cam Perlinger scored for Kindersley in the back-half of the frame to put the Klippers up 2-1. After a scoreless second, the North Stars scored two in the third to earn the win, a tight checking period that saw only 14 shots total.
