Klippers Swap Road Wins With North Stars as puck drops on 25-26 season

The Kindersley Klippers opened the 2025-26 SJHL season with a split against the rival Battlefords North Stars. Friday’s 5-2 road win featured first career SJHL goals from Carter Cole, Cooper Flath, Kaegan Lowe, and Pryce Thiessen, plus a stellar 40-save effort from Brett O’Halloran. Saturday’s home opener inside Inter Pipeline Arena drew over 1,000 fans, but the Klippers fell 6-3 despite Lowe scoring his third goal of the weekend.

Offensively, the fourth line of Lowe, Flath, and Cole combined for 11 points, giving the Klippers plenty to build on ahead of this weekend’s home-and-home with the SJHL’s newest franchise, the Warman Wolverines.
