Klippers Hire Tyler Orr as Director of Business Operations

The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers are pleased to announce the hiring of Tyler Orr as Director of Business Operations. Orr will begin working effective immediately.

Tyler joins the Klippers directly from the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds Men’s Hockey Team. Tyler served as Director of Operations and played a major off ice role in the team hosting and winning the 2017 CIS Men’s National Championship.

Prior to his time at UNB he spent three seasons with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL in their marketing department. Tyler holds a Bachelor Of Integrated Studies from Weber State University and Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick.

“We are really excited to have Tyler on board”, noted Klipper’s GM/Head Coach Geoff Grimwood. “Tyler has a tremendous amount of experience in all area’s of our business operations. He will be responsible for our marketing, game night promotions, as well as our corporate sales. We also expect him to contribute to our Hockey Operations staff in multiple facets”.

“Overall we are not satisfied with where we are as a club”, continued Grimwood. “ We expect to have a much stronger team on the ice next year, but as an organization we also have goals off the ice. Our plan is to greatly improve our season ticket base, drive our corporate sales, and continue to engage the Kindersley area with our player’s community efforts. We feel Tyler is going to be a huge part of this”.
