The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers were active at the trade deadline, making a blockbuster move! They acquired 20-year-old forward Mason Bueckert from the La Ronge Ice Wolves. In exchange, the Klippers sent Alex Mack, Dayton Tailfeathers, a 1st and 2nd round pick, and a Player Development Fee (PDF).
Bueckert arrived with 31 points on the season and quickly increased that total to 34 in his second game with the Klippers. In their second trade, the Klippers added 19-year-old defenseman Thomas Philips from the Northern Manitoba Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Philips has 13 points in 34 games this season.
Welcome to Kindersley, Thomas and Mason! We also wish nothing but the best for Alex Mack and Dayton Tailfeathers as they join La Ronge.
