Aurora University lands Keeleys

The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers along with the family and friends of Clay and Nate Keeley offer our congratulations on their commitment to post secondary hockey and academics at Aurora University. Located 40 miles West of Chicago, Aurora University competes in the NCHA conference under the NCAA’s Division III umbrella. Clay and Nate will play for Aurora Head Coach Jason Bloomingburg who himself was an accomplished Junior and NCAA player for Providence College and Wayne State where he was a Hobey Baker NCAA Player of the Year finalist.

Clay and Nate were acquired via trade from the AJHL’s Drumheller Dragons having both appeared in 100+ games over 2 seasons and made immediate impacts on the Klippers lineup. Both play the game the right way and are dependable in all situations along with being intimidating hitters. In typical twin-fashion both Nate and Clay finished the 2018-19 Klippers season with 20 points

Clay and Nate are both exceptional teammates, committed to the grind of steady improvement and lead with a quiet confidence that will be valuable to Aurora. They are respectable, courteous and treat people the right way; a tribute to their parents, billets (Janine & Derek Smith) and the coaches throughout their hockey careers.

All the best Clay and Nate. Thank you for everything.
