The puck dropped just after 12:00 PM, and it didn’t take long for the Klippers to jump on their Nutrien Division opponents as Brock Evans scored his third of the season to give the kids an early reason to cheer. The score stayed 1-0 through the first period as Brett O’Halloran stopped all 15 Wolverines shots, and also a penalty shot attempt in the final minute of the period turning away Oliver Nottingham.
