Proud Member of the SJHL - Kramer Division
Come out to Welcome Night hosted by the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce and meet some of the Klippers who are new in town!
The Kindersley Klippers are proud to announce that last seasons captain Giovanni Bombini has accepted an NCAA Division I scholarship with American International College (AIC).
“Gio is gifted offensively and contains a high skill set that should translate well in the college game. We’re excited about being able to add him to our program and watch him develop as Coach Zinger believes his character matches his skill set,” said AIC Assistant Coach Graham Johnson, stating that it was Bombini’s skill set that made him an attractive recruit.
Bombini credited an off-season trade as being a mitigating factor in him earning his scholarship. “If it wasn’t for the opportunity that I was provided in the SJHL and more specifically in Kindersley with the Klippers I’m not sure this would have ever materialized,” said Bombini, “I’d like to thank the community of Kindersley for embracing me, my teammates for helping me, and the Klippers staff for believing in me.”
Bombini finished his SJHL career with the Klippers recording just under a point a game in both regular season and playoffs, with 76 points in 80 career regular season games and 6 points in 8 play off games. The Edmonton, Alberta native plans on taking Business while attending AIC.
AIC plays in the Atlantic Hockey Conference and is located in Springfield, MA.
