The first period started slow for the Klippers but it didn't take long for them to get back into form as they dominated in the first game of 2010 winning the contest by a score of 3 to 1. The shots on goal were 43 to 28 in favor of Kindersley and Battleford's goalie, Graham Hildebrand earned the third star of the game for his effort.
Dommett, Calkins, and Braid all scored for the Klippers with Duzan, Hoffman, Sonntag, Leedahl, and Calkins picking up the helpers.
Sonntagg worked hard as he is trying his hardest to get his picture in the Clarion. He was the second star of the game.
